La Basilica

Two years ago, while visiting Quito with my mom and brothers, Seth (my little brother) and I climbed to the top of one of two clock towers of an enormous cathedral called La Basilica. It was my favorite thing we did in Quito. The cathedral itself is unbelievably beautiful (see above), but more so the climb to the top of the clock tower is a little treacherous and therefore fun and there is an unbelievable view of the whole city from the top (see below).

My first full weekend in Quito, a small group of us decided to visit the Basilica. Most of what can be told, I can show in pictures, so there are quite a few in this entry. You can see that the architecture is incredible, the stained glass is beautiful, and the views are unbelievable. Enjoy the pictures.
